Mödling/Beijing (ptp011/21.07.2025/11:15) - The AICHELIN Group, one of the world's leading suppliers of heat treatment solutions, is celebrating four decades of successful presence in China. What began in 1984 with an initial order of industrial furnaces has developed into a key pillar of the global corporate structure: AICHELIN now employs 550 people locally. The anniversary was celebrated last Friday with renowned guests - important stakeholders, customers, partners and employees.

Christian Grosspointner, CEO of the AICHELIN Group, recognizes the commitment of the local team and the importance of the market for the Group: "China has been more than a sales market for AICHELIN from the very beginning, it was the beginning of a joint journey for industrial development and growth. Today, our subsidiary in China is one of the strongest within the Group. With the future headquarters in Beijing Future Science City and further investments, we are taking the next step in our regional growth strategy."

From the first order to local technology leader

AICHELIN Mödling received an order for nine industrial furnaces back in 1984. In 1985, exactly 40 years ago, the first step was taken towards a permanent local presence and a representative office was opened in Beijing. In the following years, AICHELIN consistently expanded its structures: with its own production from 2005, a new plant in Tangshan from 2017 and a continuous expansion of local engineering and service offerings. More than 1,500 furnaces have now been manufactured for a wide range of industries - from automotive to aviation.

Focus on the future: local proximity and innovation

The AICHELIN Group continues to pursue a clear growth strategy in China. In line with the Group's global "Strategy 2030", the focus is on regional proximity, technological expertise and the expansion of digital services. The next important step is imminent this year: the relocation of the headquarters to Future Science City in Beijing's Changping district. In close cooperation with the local authorities, a new, modern location is being built there that will unite development, sales, service and training under one roof.

"Four decades together with our strong local team, reliable partners and important customers are a milestone in our company's history. We see the next few years as an opportunity to further expand our innovative strength and customer proximity in China and to write new chapters together at our future new location," concludes CEO Christian Grosspointner.
