1. Collection and use of Data
pressetext collects personal data when you register with pressetext or use particular pressetext offers or services. In some cases, pressetext also receives personal data from its business partners. When you set up a pressetext account, you normally give your first name and surname, email address, user name, password, etc. Not all of these pieces of information must be given. In every case, after you have set up a user account, we are aware of your identity.
In addition, pressetext automatically collects and stores logs and information that are transmitted by your browser. This particularly includes IP addresses and information which pressestext, with your permission, has collected from cookies and sites visited by you.
Pressetext will use the collected data to complete orders for offers or services, to enable more efficient and effective processing of products and services and, with your permission, to inform you of special offers and new products.
2. Transfer of Data to Third-Parties
pressetext will not transfer any personal data it collects to third-parties. Exceptions are made when
• you have permitted the transfer in individual cases;
• the transfer is necessary to fulfil an offer or service that you wish to have;
• a sub-contractor or agent, engaged by pressetext to fulfil the offer or service, requires this data to do so (such assistants are, unless you have specifically stated otherwise, only entitled to use the data that is necessary for the provision of the offer or service);
• an enforceable official or court order exists or is required to prohibit, in a legally permissible manner, a misuse of our offers or services, in particular a use which breaches pressetext’s terms and conditions.
Cookies are pieces of data which websites deposit on your hard disk. The cookies carry information which simplifies navigation and negates the necessity to transfer all of your registration data on every visit. In addition, cookies can be used to inform content providers – with your permission – in your personal interests to complete orders, offers or services, and – with your permission – to inform you of special offers and new products.

4. Updating and Deleting Data
You have the right to correct, add to or delete the information and settings saved in your pressetext account. If you have permitted a particular use of your data, this permission may be withdrawn at any time. In particular, you are free to choose if you want to continue to be informed about offers and new products.
Under certain circumstances, pressetext can refuse you access to your collected data, especially if giving access would involve the exposure of confidential business information or the violation of a third-party’s rights.
pressetext can also refuse to process any request which it feels are made unreasonably often or in a systematic way, requires an unreasonably high technical effort, endangers the right to privacy of other users, is extremely impractical or for which no access is required. The provision of information about data and the correction thereof, is free of charge unless it demands a disproportionate amount of effort.
5. Data Security
pressetext takes appropriate measures to protect data from unauthorized access, unauthorized alteration, and to protect it from disclosure or destruction. In particular, these measures include internal reviews of data collection, storage and processing practices and security measures, including adequate encryption and physical security measures to protect against unauthorized access to systems on which pressetext stores personal data. The data on your pressetext account is protected by a password to safeguard its confidentiality and security.
pressetext restricts access to personal data to the pressetext staff, contractors and agents for whom access is absolutely necessary. These people are bound by an obligation to confidentiality and may be subject to disciplinary measures, including termination of their employment and criminal prosecution, if this obligation is not met.
