Vienna/Moscow (pts026/04.07.2019/15:20) - TÜV AUSTRIA has acquired a majority stake in the Russian company Standards & Compliance LLC (S&C), which is based in Moscow. The participation agreement was signed in Moscow on July 1, 2019.

Standards & Compliance has been a cooperation partner of TÜV AUSTRIA since autumn of last year. Since then the certification business in Russia and the neighboring CIS countries has been built up and expanded, numerous audits in the area of management systems have been successfully carried out with TÜV AUSTRIA accreditation and local auditors have been appointed.

This participation in Standards & Compliance is an investment in the global corporate future. S&C's very broad, existing network enables TÜV AUSTRIA to enter the Russian market and gain a foothold with major local customers in the areas of certification and training. We see great potential in Russia, particularly in the areas of Energy, Aerospace, Transport, Healthcare, Cyber and IT Security certification. In recent months S&C has already certified well-known companies, for example in accordance with the international standard for information security - ISO 27001.

Globally-minded certification

TÜV AUSTRIA's competencies in certification range from management systems and personnel to product certification. The group operates worldwide with numerous subsidiaries and partner companies in more than 20 countries - including countries in the CEE region and Southern Europe. Further partnerships in the certification area in Europe and Asia are currently being sought.
