Zurich (ptp020/18.08.2023/15:00) - The artist Zoran Bagaric will be present at the SWISSARTEXPO with his abstract art from 6th to 10th September 2023. At the five-day art festival, art lovers will be able to admire the special works of the Croatian-born artist and lose themselves in their enchanting colors and shapes.
Zoran Bagaric was born in 1972 in Croatia, where he spent his formative years before moving away. Today he lives and works in Switzerland, calling both countries his home. From a very young age, he had a deep-seated passion for drawing and painting, which led him to study art at the art school "Albert Gruber" in Croatia under the tutelage of founder Professor Krunoslav Kern - known for his aquarelle works and pedagogical work. Central to his artistic ideology is the belief that creativity should be a free flowing, organic process that comes from within and is not subservient to reason or logic. He believes that true artistry lies in not being restricted by a particular style, but rather in unfettered artistic expression and exploration.
Zoran's artistic work is heavily influenced by chance and coincidence, which he adroitly incorporates into his craft. He decides how and to what extent he exposes his art to the unpredictability of chance, and uses this to enhance his works with a sense of controlled serendipity. He therefore retains control over his creations while at the same time benefiting from the unexpected, which gives his abstract works a mesmerizing edge. In addition, he also dedicates himself to realist art, using abstract elements when it suits him. His works are united by his journey from blank canvas to completed creation, never really knowing where this creative odyssey will take him until the very end. Zoran Bagaric strives to give his viewers an immersive experience and allows each individual to interpret his works differently. Each painting is a window into a new world, open to diverse interpretations.
