Foreword

In this statement, you will be informed of how the pressetext Nachrichtenagentur GmbH (hereafter “pressetext”) handles the personal data of its readers, subscribers, customers and business partners. This privacy policy applies to all pressetext products, services and websites.

1. Collection and use of Data

pressetext collects personal data when you register with pressetext or use particular pressetext offers or services. In some cases, pressetext also receives personal data from its business partners. When you set up a pressetext account, you normally give your first name and surname, email address, user name, password, etc. Not all of these pieces of information must be given. In every case, after you have set up a user account, we are aware of your identity.

3. Cookies

5. Data Security

pressetext takes appropriate measures to protect data from unauthorized access, unauthorized alteration, and to protect it from disclosure or destruction. In particular, these measures include internal reviews of data collection, storage and processing practices and security measures, including adequate encryption and physical security measures to protect against unauthorized access to systems on which pressetext stores personal data. The data on your pressetext account is protected by a password to safeguard its confidentiality and security.

pressetext restricts access to personal data to the pressetext staff, contractors and agents for whom access is absolutely necessary. These people are bound by an obligation to confidentiality and may be subject to disciplinary measures, including termination of their employment and criminal prosecution, if this obligation is not met.

6. Changes to this Privacy Policy

pressetext reserves the right to change this privacy policy as required. Should pressetext wish to use your personal information in a way other than specified at the time the privacy policy was made, pressetext will notify you of the latest information via email. Any change to the privacy policy will also be announced by pressetext on it websites. Earlier versions of the privacy policy will be kept for your review.

7. Questions, Complaints and Suggestions

pressetext regularly reviews the compliance to this privacy policy. If pressetext receives an official written complaint, pressetext will contact the person making the complaint about this matter. If pressetext and that person cannot resolve the matter between themselves, Pressetext works together with the responsible authorities to find a solution to any complaint relating to the transfer of data.
