Chelsea's Mourinho is world coach of the year
Greece voted best team - Ronaldinho player of the year

Chelsea football manager Jose Mourinho has won the World Soccer magazine's http://www.worldsoccer.com coach of the year award for 2004, following his success with Porto in the Champions League. As the BBC http://www.bbc.co.uk reports, the Portuguese coach received 35.5 per cent of the vote to beat the German Otto Rehhagel on 26.4 per cent, who tasted victory with Greece in this year's European Championship. Arsenal's Arsene Wenger came third with 10 per cent following Arsenal's unprecendented unbeaten season in the English Premiership.
However, Rehhagel's victorious European Championship winning Greek side came top of the team poll with 25.1 per cent of the vote. Arsenal came a very close second with 24.8 per cent, followed by FC Porto, the team Mourinho led to Champion's League success, who acquired 16 per cent of the vote.
Barcelona's Brazilian Ronaldinho won the best player award, getting 28.6 per cent. Thierry Henry of Arsenal came second with 22.2 per cent, followed by AC Milan's Ukrainian striker Andriy Shevchenko, who received 12.6 per cent of the vote. (end)
